1. General Wood Questions
Normally, No. Unless the table has been specifically finished and protected for use outdoors in the rain, using an unprotected table outdoors can cause heat damage and deformation due to dryness.
Small amounts of water exposure will be fine as long as you wipe it off as soon as possible. Using coasters to hold hot and cold drinks is also advised.
Strong liquids can permanently stain the wood table so immediate action should be taken. Ideally, you should clean the table as soon as possible. Dab a towel on the spill area instead of wiping to absorb the spilled liquid. Wiping it may cause the liquid to spread into the small natural cracks of the table.
2. Purchase Questions
Yes. We can have tables made on demand with specific requests on a per-order basis.
You can, but keep in mind that every piece will be different. Due to the way our tables are made, it is impossible to have two identical sets of tables. However, the differences in each piece can provide a unique feel to your venue, giving it a more natural atmosphere.
No project is too big or too small for us to handle. You do not need to be afraid to ask us about creating a smaller custom piece.
3. Other Questions
The Suar Wood species is not listed in the CITES Appendices or on the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species. As such it is not endangered.
Unfortunately, we do not refurbish old tables. Our business is in taking in fresh wood slabs and turning them into new furniture.
